The verse chord is a D7 something.

There are also some changes in there that I haven't quite figured out yet.

Lyrics:
You never think to and it shows
how many times have you been told to look

With no referral to a glance
or what's revealed beyond the facts

So follow on your own advice
or would that be to much to ask?

But had it been another way
would there still be things left to say?

It's like the politician's dance
he wears the things you'd like to see

he could convice you with his plans
but in the end where would you be

It goes around and back again
and when replayed who'll be your friend

But had it been another way
would there still be things left to say?

Update by Don Cook
Intro: Do this 2x with a little time change on the second

---------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------
---9-----------------------------------------------
------------7^8----7^8-8^7\5--7^5-----5------------
-7---7-10---------------------------------7----5---

Do this 1x with a few pick scrapes at the end

---------7^8--7^8-8^7\5--7^5-----5--------
-7--10------------------------------7-----

This is the end of the intro-1x

Intro to Verse: Do a C#-D bass walk then strum a Bm or Bm7 with echo

Verse: These chords were kind of tricky so I'm not sure they're a 100% correct but they sound right.
I'm sure of the name of them either but I'll put
Verse: Em9-E11-Em9-E11-Bm with the C#-D bass walkdown

End Verse: Em9-E11-Dm9-D11-Cm9-C11

Here's how I do these chords- the same go for the D and C just walk down the fret using these positions

Em9 E11
-7--------7-
-7--------7-
-7--------7-
-9--------7-
-7--------7-
------------

Then do this part a few times
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
--------7-6-----------------------7^6-----------------------
--------------7-6-7---------------------77--6^7^6-----------
---5/7---------------7-5-7----5----------------------7--5---
-7----------------------------------------------------------

Then comes the Bm lick again then back to verse

Here's the Bridge or breakdown. they're all pretty much playing something different but sounds pretty good
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
---------0--3^2^0-------------2-3^2-0-0-22^0----------------
-0^2-2--------------2---2-2-5---------------------2^0^2-----
------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------2-----------------
---------0-3^2^0-------------2-3^2------33^2-2-0-2-0
-0^2-2-------------2---2-2-5---------5-------------------2
--------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------0-3^2^0------------2-3^2-0-0-2^00-----------------2-3^2-0-0-2^0
-0^2-2------------2---2-2-5--------------------2^0^2-2-2-5-------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------+
--------+
--------+
--------+
-2^0^2+
---------+
This is the last time. Do the intro 1x then repeat 2nd half about 5x
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------2-----------------------
---------0-3^2^0-----------2-3^2------3^22-2-0-2-0----------
-0^2-2------------2--2-2-5---------5-------------------2----
------------------------------------------------------------

Then comes the fast Bm strum. Figure out the rhythm and changes but heres the chord structures.

-7-7-7-7-7-----7--7--7----
-7-7-7-9-10----7--9--10---
-7-7-7-7-7-----7--7--7----
-9-9-9-9-9-----9--9--9----
--------------------------

The next parts get a little tricky as well.

I think the notes go something like this.
You can do a little picking down the bass notes and end pretty hard on the F# and hold it for a while before:
D>C#m>Bm>A>C#m>Bm>F#>Bm

Jam on the C#>D>Bm riff for a while.

Last section goes Bm>F#>G

End hard on G

That's about it. Enjoy!
